"The one who treads a path, seeking therein knowledge, Allah eases his path to the Garden"
(Sahih Muslim)
The Ash-Shifa Trust was set up by a group of local brothers and sisters. Members of the local community began to express concerns on the lack of Islamic Knowledge and nurturing taking place within the community. Amongst the concerns were, improving and resolving the difficulties faced by the Muslim youth, the lack of Islamic implementation amongst the local community and the prevailing social problems. With the intention of bringing about real change, the 'Ash-Shifa Trust' was established.
Aims and objectives of Ash-Shifa Trust:
-
To establish Taqwa of Allah (swt) and love for the Messenger of Allah (SAW) in the community and for them to follow the deen.
-
Increase awareness of Islam through dissemination of knowledge to Muslims and Non-Muslims and spreading a true interpretation of Islam and eradicating misconceptions that have arisen - this will be dealt with by working alongside other organisations and setting up community projects and displays.
-
The advancement of education for the public benefit in particular young people of all religions and ethnic backgrounds.
-
To help young people develop their physical, mental, spiritual and moral capacities so they may mature as individuals with opportunities to excel in society.
